BSKDN syncs policies for effective delivery of President's program

The Domestic Policy Strategy Agency (BSKDN) convened a strategic forum to align central and regional policies and assess the implementation of the President's priority programs at the local level. According to BSKDN head Yusharto Huntoyungo, these national initiatives must be integrated with regional planning and budgets to meet community needs and local capacities. The programs include efforts related to economic growth, inflation control, education, healthcare, housing, and poverty reduction.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Domestic Policy Strategy Agency (BSKDN) held a strategic forum to strengthen governance, synchronize central and regional policies, and evaluate the implementation of the President's priority programs at the regional level.

“Priority programs must not run separately from regional planning and budgeting. Therefore, policy synchronization is very important so that national programs are connected with the real needs of the community and regional capacities,” Head of BSKDN Yusharto Huntoyungo remarked in a statement here on Friday.

The statement was delivered during the Regional Coordination Meeting for Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the President's Directive Programs Batch IV in Surabaya, East Java, on Thursday (June 18).

In his remarks, Huntoyungo emphasized that the President's Directive Programs are national priority agendas that must be seriously overseen by all levels of government.

The programs include economic growth, inflation control, Free Nutritious Meals (MBG), the construction of three million houses, the establishment of Red and White Village Cooperatives, Sekolah Rakyat Schools, food self-sufficiency, free health check-ups, Garuda Schools, to the eradication of extreme poverty.

He said that these programs require three main pillars, such as synchronization of central and regional policies, good governance, and integrated, data-based monitoring and evaluation.

Huntoyungo explained that monitoring should serve as a tool for learning and policy improvement that can identify obstacles, risks, support needs, best practices, and the real impact of policies on the ground.

To support this, BSKDN said it will continue to strengthen its "policy hub" function as a strategic policy node within the Ministry of Home Affairs.

“Through this forum, BSKDN not only receives reports but also gathers various insights from regions regarding achievements, challenges, and policy support needs. This information becomes an important basis for formulating policy recommendations for leadership,” Huntoyungo said.
