In Brussel is Zomerpret voorgesteld, het programma met alle culturele evenementen voor de zomer. Dat gaat van concerten tot dansvoorstellingen en cinema in openlucht.
"Met Zomerpret willen we laten zien dat er van alles te doen is in Brussel", zegt burgemeester Philippe Close (PS). "20 jaar geleden hadden we de reputatie van een saaie stad. Ondertussen is alles veranderd: we zijn een multiculturele stad waar veel te ontdekken en te beleven is."
"In juli en augustus wordt Brussel 1 grote speelplaats met concerten in openlucht, muzikale cruises op het kanaal, dans, openluchtcinema en vele andere artistieke creaties."
In het Warandepark kan je naar Vaux-Hall Summer met concerten, theater, filmprojecties en dans. Aan de Akenkaai is er het evenement Zomerkaai, met muzikale cruises, dj-sets op het water, foodtrucks, animatie en sport. Elke dag vertrekt The Boat voor een rondvaart.
Deze zomer is er ook het Brussels Dance Festival, met zowel klassiek ballet als hedendaagse dans. Liefhebbers van klassieke muziek kunnen naar het Festival Classissimo.
