Αίσιο τέλος είχε, έπειτα από ολονύχτια επιχείρηση διάσωσης , η περιπέτεια δύο 22χρονων περιπατητών στον Όλυμπο , εκ των οποίων ο ένας είχε τραυματιστεί στο πόδι και αδυνατούσε να συνεχίσει την πορεία του.
Η επιχείρηση ολοκληρώθηκε λίγο πριν από τις 6 το πρωί, όταν οι δύο νεαροί μεταφέρθηκαν με ασφάλεια σε σημείο όπου τους ανέμενε ασθενοφόρο του ΕΚΑΒ. Ο τραυματίας παραλήφθηκε για τη διακομιδή του σε νοσηλευτική μονάδα, ενώ ο δεύτερος είναι καλά στην υγεία του.
Η επιχείρηση που στήθηκε
Σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες, η κινητοποίηση των Αρχών ξεκίνησε χθες, γύρω στις 9 το βράδυ, μετά από κλήση φίλου των δύο νεαρών στο 199. Η ενημέρωση ανέφερε ότι οι δύο νεαροί αποπροσανατολίστηκαν κατά τη διάρκεια πεζοπορίας σε δύσβατη περιοχή του Ολύμπου, στην ευρύτερη περιοχή του ρέματος Ορλιά του δήμου Δίου - Ολύμπου.
Άμεσα κινητοποιήθηκαν 18 πυροσβέστες από τις Πυροσβεστικές Υπηρεσίες Κατερίνης και Λιτοχώρου, καθώς και δύο ορειβατικές ομάδες της 2ης και της 8ης ΕΜΑΚ. Στην επιχείρηση συμμετείχε επίσης ο Φυσιολατρικός Σύλλογος Λιτοχώρου «Ο Όλυμπος».
Οι διασώστες εντόπισαν τους δύο 22χρονους κατά τη διάρκεια της νύχτας και προσέγγισαν με ασφάλεια το σημείο όπου βρίσκονταν. Ο τραυματίας τοποθετήθηκε σε φορείο και ακολούθησε πολύωρη επιχείρηση μεταφοράς μέσω του κεντρικού μονοπατιού προς τη θέση «Υδραγωγείο», όπου ολοκληρώθηκε η διάσωσή τους.
