ARThe article discusses five Argentine psychologists who have significantly influenced the field of mental health by expanding traditional psychological boundaries and promoting an integrated approach to understanding human subjectivity. These individuals, Gabriela Dueñas, Marisa Punta Rodulfo, Alicia Stolkiner, Fernando Urribarri, and Hugo Vezzetti, are being honored by the Konex Foundation with the Merit Awards 2026 for their contributions to education, medicine, law, social sciences, and public policy. Their work has been particularly impactful in addressing childhood issues, psychoanalysis, community mental health, contemporary psychoanalytic theory, and the historical relationship between psychology, psychoanalysis, and politics in Argentina.
