Predsednika državnega zbora Zorana Stevanovića je v Beogradu sprejel še srbski predsednik Aleksandar Vučić. Govorila sta o izboljšanju gospodarskega sodelovanja med državama in pospešenem urejanju vprašanja nasledstva nekdanjega SFRJ-ja.

Vučić je po srečanju na Insagramu zapisal, da sta imela s Stevanovićem dober pogovor o več temah, kot so nadaljnja krepitev sodelovanja med državama, aktualna regionalna in evropska vprašanja in nadaljnje sodelovanje slovenskega in srbskega parlamenta.

"Zahvalil sem se Sloveniji za podporo pri evropski poti Srbije in poudaril, da je za našo državo še posebej pomembno, da podpira politko, ki spodbuja sodelovanje, povezovanje in ohranjanje varnosti v regiji. Posebej sem poudaril pomen gospodarskega sodelovanja, s čimer sem imel v mislih živahno trgovinsko izmenjavo, veliko število slovenskih podjetij, ki uspešno poslujejo v Srbiji, in vse večjo prisotnost srbskih podjetnikov na slovenskem trgu," je zapisal. Dodal je, da je Slovenijo povabil tudi k sodelovanju na mendarodni razstavi Expo 2027v Beogradu.

Stevanović ima na programu še srečanje s srbskim premierjem Đurom Macuto in podpredsednico srbskega parlamenta Marino Raguš.

Srbiji zagotovil podporo na evropski poti

Stevanović je skupaj z delegacijo državnega zbora obisk v Srbiji začel v torek, ko se je srečal s predsednico srbskega parlamenta Ano Brnabić , ki je poudarila, da je Slovenija za Srbijo zelo pomembna partnerica, Stevanović pa je dejal, da je za Slovenijo pomembna "močna in stabilna Srbija". Srbiji je zagotovil nadaljnjo podporo Slovenije na njeni poti v Evropsko unijo, češ da si Slovenija želi evropski družini dodati "slovenskega brata".

Udeležil se je predstavitve ob izdaji priložnostne poštne znamke Pošte Slovenije in Pošte Srbije ter nagovoril zbrane na dogodku, ki ga je ob dnevu državnosti in dnevu Slovenske vojske pripravilo slovensko veleposlaništvo v Beogradu. Ob spominu na 25. obletnico vzpostavitve diplomatskih odnosov med državama je izrazil željo, da se Srbija čim prej pridruži Evropski uniji. Poudaril je tudi pomen nadaljnje krepitve dvostranskega in medparlamentarnega sodelovanja.

Pred Stevanovićevim potovanjem v Beograd so se v medijih pojavila ugibanja, da bi bil med temami obiska lahko položaj srbske manjšine v Sloveniji. Lani je namreč predsednik DZ-ja za enega od srbskih medijev izjavil, da bi podprl pobudo za priznanje srbske nacionalne skupnosti v Sloveniji kot manjšine. Pred obiskom pa je zanikal, da se bo s sogovorniki pogovarjal o tem.
