At least nine people were killed and 25 injured when a truck collided with a bus filled with passengers at a railway crossing in Trajan, southern Zimbabwe. The bus driver failed to stop and check for oncoming trains before crossing the tracks, violating railway safety regulations. According to traffic safety agency data, road accidents in Zimbabwe occur every 15 minutes, resulting in an average of five deaths and 38 injuries per day.

Najmanje devet ljudi je poginulo u sudaru teretnog voza i autobusa danas u Zimbabveu , saopštile su vlasti.Nesreća se dogodila na železničkom prelazu u Trajanglu, gradu na jugu zemlje, saopštila je policija.

Portparol Nacionalnih železnica Zimbabvea Endru Kanambura je u saopštenju naveo da vozač autobusa nije stao i proverio da li dolaze vozovi pre nego što je prešao preko pruge, kršeći propise o bezbednosti železničkog saobraćaja. Rekao je da je najmanje 25 ljudi povređeno.

Saobraćajne nesreće su česte u Zimbabveu, gde se saobraćajna nesreća dogodi svakih 15 minuta i gde u proseku pet ljudi pogine, a 38 bude povređeno svakog dana, prema podacima agencije za bezbednost saobraćaja.
