A man was hit by a train in Jihlava and died on the spot

A man was struck by a train on the railway track between Jihlava city station and Rantířov stations and died at the scene despite rescue efforts. The incident occurred at 13:50, and the circumstances are being investigated by criminal investigators. Train operations have since been restored.

Záchranné složky zasahovaly ve čtvrtek odpoledne na železniční trati v lokalitě Na Dolech v Jihlavě. Vlak tam srazil muže, který přes veškerou snahu záchranářů na místě zemřel.

„K události na železniční trati došlo v 13:50. Událost má tragické následky, muž po střetu s vlakem utrpěl vážná zranění, kterým i přes okamžitou resuscitaci podlehl,“ uvedla policejní mluvčí Dana Čírtková.

Okolnosti tragédie prověřují kriminalisté.

Správa železnic informovala , že k mimořádné události došlo v úseku mezi stanicemi Jihlava město a Rantířov. Provoz na trati už železničáři obnovili.
