V ponedeljek popoldne je v občini Velika Polana v hiši izbruhnil požar, v katerem je umrl moški. S Policijske uprave Murska Sobota so sporočili, da je požar najverjetneje povzročila tehnična napaka na električni opremi v objektu.

V stanovanjskem objektu so našli moškega, ki je kljub nudenju prve pomoči in posredovanju reševalcev umrl na kraju dogodka, so sporočili s PU-ja Murska Sobota.
Kot so pojasnili, natančen vzrok nastanka požara še preiskujejo, zato naprej zbirajo obvestila in ugotavljajo vse okoliščine dogodka. Po nestrokovni oceni je v požaru nastalo za približno 40.000 evrov materialne škode.
Po neuradnih informacijah so na kraju posredovala tri prostovoljna gasilska društva, in sicer gasilci iz Velike Polane, Male Polane in Brezovice, ki so zavarovali območje in požar pogasili.
