Shipwright: The smaller vessel had to avoid the catamaran

Forensic expert for maritime Damir Višić said that it is too early to draw conclusions to determine the cause of the serious maritime accident, as the authorities are still collecting data.

"A ship shorter than 20 meters has to avoid larger ships in the waterways and narrow channels. Why this happened, too little information has reached us. Maybe it was some technical malfunction", Višić told HRT.

He added that only the results of eyewitness testimony and investigations would reveal what led to the crash and whether technical problems or other factors contributed to the accident.
