Marvin Cuni is in the Olympics attack.

NK Olimpija Ljubljana has signed Marvin Çuni, a forward from Rubin Kazan, on a loan deal for the upcoming season. Çuni previously played in Italy with Sampdoria and Bari, scoring two goals and providing one assist in 33 matches. He began his career with Bayern Munich's youth teams but never made it to the first team. Çuni also represented Albania at the senior level, making his debut against Bulgaria in October 2023. He will wear the number 17 jersey for Olimpija.

Tretji novinec Olimpije v poletnem prestopnem roku je napadalec Marvin Çuni. Nemec z albanskimi koreninami bo zeleno-belim v prihajajoči sezoni pomagal kot posojeni nogometaš Rubina iz Kazana, z možnostjo podaljšanja še za eno leto.

Preteklo sezono je Çuni igral v Italiji, najprej za Sampdorio, nato za Bari ter za oba kluba na 33 tekmah dosegel dva gola in eno podajo. Kariero je pri enajstih letih začel v mlajših selekcijah Bayerna iz Münchna, a se nikoli ni prebil v prvo ekipo. Po odhodu iz druge ekipe bavarskega velikana je v Italiji igral še za Frosinone in v serie A zbral 22 nastopov.

"Zelo se veselim, da spoznam soigralce in trenerje. Verjamem, da je Slovenija pravo okolje zame in moj nadaljnji razvoj. Zelo sem vesel te priložnosti in dal bom vse od sebe, da pomagam klubu do zastavljenih ciljev," je še dejal igralec, ki bo na dresu nosil številko 17.

Çuni je za albansko reprezentanco odigral eno tekmo, debitiral je oktobra 2023 proti Bolgariji.
