A minor dead and 49 injured leaves a fire in camp in Antofagasta

Referencial. Comentarios Un menor de edad fallecido y 49 personas damnificadas dejó un incendio registrado durante la noche del viernes en el Campamento Mujeres Unidas , ubicado en el sector de Santa Rosa de Huara con Juvenal Morla, en Antofagasta .

El fallecimiento del menor de edad fue informado por el Club de Deportes Cobreloa, donde formaba parte de la escuela formativa. “ Con mucho respeto y consternados por la noticia, enviamos nuestro más sincero pésame a su familia y amigos por su irreparable pérdida ”, señaló el club en un comunicado publicado en redes sociales.

La emergencia comenzó cerca de las 19:20 horas y movilizó a un amplio contingente del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Antofagasta . Según el balance preliminar, el fuego destruyó completamente nueve viviendas de material ligero, mientras que otras cuatro resultaron con daños parciales producto del fuego y del agua utilizada durante las labores de control.

Carabineros informó que personal de la Prefectura de Antofagasta se desplegó en el sector para prestar resguardo y seguridad durante la emergencia. Además, en el lugar trabajó Labocar, junto a personal territorial y de Control de Orden Público .

Las causas del incendio aún son materia de investigación. Los equipos de bomberos ya realizan los peritajes correspondientes para determinar el origen del fuego y las circunstancias en que se produjo la emergencia.
