Traffic chaos set in for an extended weekend: Seven-kilometer-long queues and accidents further complicate the road to the sea

Increased traffic congestion has been reported during an extended weekend ahead of public holidays in Croatia, with long queues and accidents further complicating travel towards the coast. The Croatian Automobile Club (HAK) warns drivers to exercise caution and patience due to heavy traffic on major roads, including parts of the Istrian Ypsilon, Lika Motorway (DC1), and Adriatic Motorway (DC8). Traffic jams have formed at key locations such as the Lučko toll station and along the Zagreb bypass. OPREZ I STRPLJENJE

19.06.2026. u 15:56

Traffic congestion formed early in the morning on the western part of Zagreb, particularly on Slavonska Avenue, where traffic jams began around 6:30 AM.
