Шампионът от Откритото първенство на Франция по тенис Александър Зверев ще бъде награден в Хале, преди началото на турнира на тревни кортове в Германия.
Организаторите съобщиха, че представителят на домакините ще бъде почетен в неделя, след като спечели първа титла от Големия шлем само преди седмица в Париж . Зверев ще получи специален приз за приноса му към тениса в Германия.
"Турнирът е перфектната подготовка за "Уимбълдън". Тук съм за десети път и най-накрая искам първи успех", каза Зверев пред вестник Билд.
Първият кръг започва в понеделник, като лидерът в основната схема Александър Зверев ще се изправи срещу чеха Вит Коприва. Германският представител все още не е вдигал трофея в Хале, като загуби финалите през 2016 и 2017 година.
В турнира ще участват шестима тенисисти от топ 10 на световната ранглиста, като останалите са Феликс Оже-Алиасим (номер четири в света), американецът Бен Шелтън (номер пет), миналогодишният финалист Даниил Медведев (номер осем), американецът Тейлър Фриц (девет), както и финалистът от Откритото първенство на Франция през този сезон Флавио Коболи.
