The Austrians have confirmed the jaw fracture of defender Stefan Posch.

The injury occurred after a collision with Jordanian player Abdul Al-Fahouri and was confirmed through a specialized examination. 29-годишният футболист е пострадал при сблъсък с играча на съперника Абдула Ал-Фахури. Контузията е потвърдена след специализирано изследване.

„Щефан Пош е с фрактура на челюстта от първия мач от Световното първенство срещу Йордания. Травмата е потвърдена чрез компютърна томография. Операция не е наложителна. В момента се изработва специална шина, за да се подпомогне процесът на оздравяване“, се казва в изявление на Австрийския футболен съюз в профила му в социалните мрежи.

На този етап не е известно дали Пош ще играе в следващия мач на тима от Мандиал 2026 срещу Аржентина на 22 юни.
