Президент асоціації "Укрводоканалекологія" Дмитро Новицький пояснив Радіо Свобода , чи це можливо, а також чи є ймовірність потрапляння фекалій у систему водопостачання.
Новицький заявив, що потрапляння фекалій у систему водопостачання неможливе, адже ці системи роз'єднані принципово на рівні проєктування.
Окрім цього, Бортницька станція аерації, яка очищує стічні води Києва та десятка прилеглих міст і селищ області, має резервні можливості для продовження роботи у разі атаки.

"Навіть один потужний удар по станції не призведе до критичної зупинки. Можливо, буде знижений тиск в системі водопостачання для того, щоб зменшити кількість стічної води на станцію аерації. Всі ці сценарії розробляються і, відповідно, мають бути чітко розписані і доведені до населення у випадку їх реалізації. Відновлювальні роботи будуть проводитись. Головне – мати обладнання, матеріали, людський ресурс і гроші", - сказав він.
Водночас, експерт з питань житлово-комунальних послуг (ЖКП) Олег Попенко не виключає, що перед жителями багатоповерхівок цієї зими може постати інша проблема – перемерзання каналізації.
Видання пригадало, як в січні 2026 року на столичних Теремках через тривалу відсутність опалення вода в системах замерзла, через що в кількох будинках пошкодило каналізаційні труби. Тоді на нижніх поверхах фекалії почали підніматися у ванній, туалеті та кухонній раковині.
Попенко не виключає, що подібні випадки можуть повторитися й наступної зими в разі, якщо багатоповерхівки не будуть підготовлені належним чином до можливих перебоїв з теплопостачанням та електроенергією:
"Ця проблема може повторитись, тому що на сьогодні певна кількість будинків, точно ніхто не знає, скільки, не готові до опалювального сезону. Потрібно, щоб в цих будинках було постійно забезпечене теплопостачання, тобто повинні бути резервні джерела живлення в будинках вище п’яти поверхів для подачі тепла".

"Головна помилка – в тому, що об'єкти водопостачання і водовідведення наших підприємств сприймають як щось крихке, лінійне, де достатньо пошкодити один елемент – і все зупиняється. Воно насправді не зовсім так. Системи водопостачання планували, проєктували, будували ще за радянських часів. І ті норми проєктування передбачали ризики військових дій", - додав він.
При цьому, президент асоціації "Укрводоканалекологія", яка об’єднує водоканали України, визнав, що рівень підготовки водоканалів у містах різний. За його словами, малі міста підготувати набагато легше, ніж міста-мільйонники, як-от Київ, Одеса, Дніпро та особливо прифронтовий Харків.
Попенко поділився, що сценарій, коли російські військові влучать в один об'єкт критичної водної інфраструктури Києва, й у всьому місті одночасно зникне вода, неможливий.
"Фізично це неможливо. Для того, щоб вода не потрапила в крани, потрібно, щоб росіяни вразили каналізаційно-насосні станції, яких величезна кількість по Києву. І зруйнувати одночасно всі станції неможливо", - пояснив він.
Проте, за словами експерта, вплинути на те, щоб вода в деяких районах великих міст зникла тимчасово, російські війська можуть, і вони це вже робили взимку.
Зокрема, в Києві максимальний термін відключення води в такому випадку – до двох діб, але в інших містах ситуація може відрізнятися.
"Харків – це все ж таки прифронтова зона. Потрібно розуміти, що і водоканал знаходиться в більш складних умовах. Там влучання в енергетичну інфраструктуру може призвести до довших зупинок. Там фахово працюють енергетики, які швидко усе відновлюють. Але там у водоканалів фінансові проблеми – величезні заборгованості, які вимірюється мільярдами гривень. В Одесі вода може бути відсутня до 5 днів, зважаючи на те, що в Одеській області не було світла по 5-7 днів. Це напряму впливає на роботу водоканалу", - зауважив Попенко.
Кияни обурилися сумами в платіжках за опалення
Раніше УНІАН повідомляв, що в червні мешканцям Києва почали надходити рахунки з заборгованістю з оплати опалення за січень. Більшість українців отримали рахунки на тисячі гривень, тоді як в січні їхні батареї були переважно холодними. Більше того, українці зазначили, що вже сплатили вартість послуг за січень у березні. В "Київтеплоенерго" нові нарахування пояснили наслідками російських обстрілів енергетичної інфраструктури.
