U gradu Toursu u dolini Loire, gradonačelnik Emmanuel Denis rekao je da neće oklijevati zatvoriti 58 obrazovnih ustanova ako postane prevruće. "Na 40 stupnjeva zatvorit ću škole", rekao je. Tijekom toplinskog vala u lipnju prošle godine, oko 2200 škola bilo je zatvoreno diljem zemlje.
