Pomorska nesreća u Splitskim vratima, u kojoj su smrtno stradale četiri osobe, predmet je opsežne istrage koju od jučer provodi Agencija za istraživanje nesreća u zračnom, pomorskom i željezničkom prometu. Istražitelj pomorskih nesreća Slaven Bušić istaknuo je kako je riječ o jednoj od najtežih tragedija s kojima se susreo tijekom svoje karijere.
Na početku obraćanja izrazio je sućut obiteljima i prijateljima poginulih. "Prije svega želio bih izraziti iskrenu sućut obiteljima i prijateljima stradalih. Riječ je o našim gostima koji više od 20 godina dolaze u Hrvatsku na odmor, a sada su doživjeli veliku tragediju. Najteže je provoditi istrage koje uključuju smrtne posljedice i ovakve nesreće", rekao je Bušić.
Objasnio je kako istražitelji od samog trenutka nesreće provode očevid, razgovaraju sa svjedocima te prikupljaju dokaze i dokumentaciju koja bi mogla pomoći u rasvjetljavanju svih okolnosti događaja. "Mi ne donosimo preuranjene zaključke. Cilj istrage je sagledati sve činjenice prije nego što se donesu konačni zaključci. Naš posao završava javno objavljenim izvješćem nakon što istraga bude u potpunosti dovršena", naglasio je.
Bušić je podsjetio kako je riječ o međunarodnoj istrazi jer su u nesreći sudjelovala plovila pod različitim zastavama, a među poginulima su državljani Češke Republike. "Već jučer obavijestili smo nadležna tijela država koje su zainteresirane strane u ovom slučaju. Hoće li se one aktivno uključiti u istragu, njihovo je pravo. Nakon završetka postupka izvješće će također biti dostavljeno svim uključenim stranama", rekao je.
Govoreći o samom tijeku istrage, nije želio iznositi detalje koji bi mogli utjecati na postupak, ali je pojasnio što se sve analizira. "Istražujemo tehničko stanje plovila, ispravnost opreme, način korištenja sustava na brodu, operativne procedure, postupke kompanija, kao i reakcije posade i putnika tijekom događaja. Ključno pitanje na koje želimo odgovoriti jest zašto se nesreća dogodila", istaknuo je.
Dodao je kako je dio razgovora sa svjedocima već obavljen, dok će se preostali iskazi tek prikupiti tijekom narednih dana. Na kraju je priznao da ga je razmjer ove tragedije posebno pogodio. "U svojoj karijeri svakako mogu reći da je ovo jedna od najtežih situacija koje su se dogodile na moru. Uz nesreću Lastova, riječ je o najtežoj pomorskoj nesreći s kojom sam se susreo", zaključio je Bušić.
