Rakli: Balcony smoking ban could be bypassed by residents

Key industry organizations in the real estate and hospitality sectors have called for stronger measures to address balcony smoking. The consultation period for a proposed law aimed at making balcony smoking illegal has ended. According to the Real Estate Association, smoking should be directly prohibited by law on balconies of multi-family buildings. Rakli, an organization representing property owners and builders, stated that the government's proposed changes could lead to a situation where smoking is prohibited for tenants but allowed for property owners in the same residential building.
