U TEŠKOJ pomorskoj nesreći koja se dogodila jučer oko 11:38 u Splitskim vratima, između otoka Šolte i Brača, poginule su četiri osobe. U trenutku sudara na jedrilici je bilo osam čeških državljana, dok se na katamaranu nalazilo 118 putnika i sedam članova posade. Četiri osobe s potopljene jedrilice spašene su iz mora i s ozljedama prevezene u KBC Split, a prema prvim informacijama, svi su izvan životne opasnosti.
Ronioci su na dubini većoj od 50 metara pronašli olupinu jedrilice, a u njenoj kabini i tijelo četvrte smrtno stradale osobe za kojom se tragalo nakon jučerašnjeg sudara jedrilice s katamaranom u splitskom akvatoriju, doznaje se od kapetana Lučke kapetanije Željka Kuštere. Tijelo je izvučeno iz mora i predano policiji na daljnje postupanje.

Tijelo nestaloga, osmog člana posade jedrilice, koja je nakon jučerašnjeg sudara kod Splitskih vrata potonula na dubinu od 50 metara izvučeno je iz potonule jedrilice i predano policiji na daljnje postupanje, izvijestilo je Ministarstvo mora, prometa i infrastrukture.
Iz Nacionalne središnjice za usklađivanje traganja i spašavanje na moru u Rijeci (MRCC Rijeka), stoji u priopćenju, prema svim angažiranim jedinicama upućena je obavijest o završetku akcije traganja i spašavanja.
Podsjeća se da je odmah nakon sudara jedrilice i putničkog katamarana iz mora spašeno četvero od ukupno osam članova posade jedrilice, a troje je smrtno stradalo. Osmi član posade proglašen je nestalim te je do današnjeg pronalaska za njim trajalo intenzivno koordinirano traganje.
Odmah nakon nesreće za površinsko traganje angažirane su sve raspoložive spasilačke brodice iz sastava splitske Kapetanije i pripadajućih ispostava, uz angažman policijskih plovila iz sastava Pomorske i aerodromske policije Split i pripadnika ronilačke jedinice MUP-a, Hitne medicinske službe, uključujući i helikoptersku jedinicu, pripadnika Obalne straže RH s gumenim brodicama i podvodnim vozilima te sve druge službe, specijalizirane za postupanje u izvanrednim događajima na moru i kopnu, a čije aktivnosti se koordiniraju iz MRCC Rijeka.
Daljnje istražne radnje o uzrocima ove pomorske nesreće nastavit će se u nadležnosti Županijskog državnog odvjetništva RH i Agencije za istraživanje nesreća u zračnom, pomorskom i željezničkom prometu, izvijestili su iz Ministarstva mora, prometa i infrastrukture.
