Kapetan Lučke kapetanije Split Željko Kuštera emotivno se obratio javnosti nakon teške pomorske nesreće u Splitskim vratima između Brača i Šolte, u kojoj su poginule tri osobe, dok se za jednom osobom još uvijek traga.
Govoreći o tragediji, priznao je da tijekom više od tri desetljeća rada nije doživio ništa slično.
- Ovo je jedna velika tragedija. Budimo iskreni, nema tu nikakve fige u džepu. Ja u svojoj karijeri, evo 35 godina koliko radim u Kapetaniji, ovako nešto nisam doživio i stvarno ne mogu vjerovati da dođete u tu situaciju, rekao je Kuštera.
Istaknuo je da su sve službe reagirale u najkraćem mogućem roku.
- Imali smo spreman helikopter na mjestu, imali smo sve brodice. Pohvalio bih sve koji su vezani za more, kao i nautičare koji su bili u blizini i koji su istog trenutka priskočili u pomoć te unesrećene izvukli iz mora. Nažalost, dogodila se strašna tragedija i s tim ćemo morati živjeti, kazao je.
Na jedrilici bilo osam stranih državljana
Prema podacima Lučke kapetanije, u nesreći su sudjelovali katamaran na redovnoj putničkoj liniji i jedrilica za najam pod stranom zastavom.
- Imamo podatke o brodu. Pregledavaju se i brod i jahta. To je bila jahta za iznajmljivanje strane zastave koja je imala urednu vinjetu, a skiper uredne papire, rekao je Kuštera.
Na jedrilici je bilo sedam putnika i skiper, dok se na katamaranu nalazilo 118 putnika i članova posade.
- Dodao je da je jedrilica u trenutku nesreće plovila na motorni pogon.
- U ovom trenutku ne govorimo o nacionalnosti jer naše Ministarstvo vanjskih poslova mora obavijestiti konzulat. Svi na jedrilici bili su stranci, naglasio je.
Putnici iskrcani u Milni, zapovjednik zamijenjen
Kuštera je pojasnio i zašto je nakon nesreće donesena odluka da se katamaran usidri u Milni na Braču.
- Morate znati u kakvom je psihofizičkom stanju zapovjednik, ali i putnici. U dogovoru sa svima napravili smo ono što je bilo najbolje i jedino ispravno. Katamaran smo vezali u Milni, iskrcali putnike i zamijenili zapovjednika. Nisam želio da se u takvom stanju dogodi još nešto. Potom je drugi katamaran prevezao putnike do Hvara, rekao je.
Istaknuo je da je katamaran prometovao na redovnoj putničkoj liniji te da je imao svu potrebnu dokumentaciju.
Jedrilica potonula na 60 metara dubine
Očevid još traje, a svi prikupljeni podaci bit će dostavljeni Državnom odvjetništvu Republike Hrvatske.
- Mi imamo podatke o tome kako su se plovila kretala i što se dogodilo u tom trenutku. Očevid je pri kraju i bit će predan državnom odvjetništvu, rekao je Kuštera.
Preživjele osobe s jedrilice prevezene su u Split, gdje im je pružena medicinska pomoć.
- Tim ljudima trebalo je pružiti pomoć jer su u šoku, kazao je.
Jedrilica je nakon sudara potonula te se nalazi na dubini od približno 60 metara. O eventualnom izvlačenju odlučit će Državno odvjetništvo Republike Hrvatske.
Kapetan je potvrdio i da za sada nema onečišćenja mora.
U potragu uključeni helikopteri, Obalna straža i HGSS. Potraga za nestalom osobom i dalje traje, a u nju su uključene sve raspoložive službe.
- U potragu su uključeni Kapetanija, policija, Obalna straža, a angažirali smo i ronioce Hrvatske gorske službe spašavanja. Angažirali smo sve ljude koji nam u tom trenutku mogu pomoći, zaključio je Kuštera.
