The indictment against former mayor of Rijeka, Vojsko Obersnel, and former water polo player Samir Barać has been confirmed by the County Court in Rijek. Postoji osnovana sumnja da je 46-godišnjak 14. lipnja u stubištu stambene zgrade u Dubrovniku, s namjerom da usmrti ženu, pratio oštećenicu te joj prišao s leđa. Sumnja se da joj je potom nožem zadao snažan udarac u gornji dio leđa, uslijed čega je zadobila ozljede teške naravi.
Osumnjičenik je nakon napada pobjegao s mjesta događaja.

Spomenimo da je policija ranije objavila da je osumnjičeni muškarac je uhićen vrlo brzo nakon počinjenog kaznenog djela te je odveden u prostorije policije na kriminalističko istraživanje, dok je na mjestu događaja, temeljem naloga Županijskog državnog odvjetništva u Dubrovniku, obavljen očevid.
Policija je dodala i kako se radi se o muškarcu prema kojem je dubrovačka policija prethodnih nekoliko godina više puta postupala i kazneno ga prijavljivala za različite oblike protupravnih ponašanja.
Određen istražni zatvor
Nakon što je ispitalo okrivljenika, Županijsko državno odvjetništvo u Dubrovniku predložilo je sucu istrage određivanje istražnog zatvora zbog opasnosti od ponavljanja kaznenog djela. Sudac istrage Županijskog suda u Dubrovniku prihvatio je prijedlog i okrivljeniku odredio istražni zatvor.
