"Vročina se bo stopnjevala, ne le pri nas, temveč tudi po Evropi," pred najtoplejšimi dnevi pojasnjuje meteorolog z Arsa Branko Gregorčič .
Največja odstopanja od povprečja, od šest do deset stopinj Celzija, bodo na Iberskem polotoku, v Franciji, Švici in severni Italiji. "Nas bo ta vročina najbolj dosegla na zahodu države, v nadaljevanju prihodnjega tedna pa tudi drugod."
Današnji dan bo sicer še najhladnejši, je pojasnil Gregorčič, čeprav bodo temperature že presegle 30 stopinj Celzija. "Vročina s popoldanskimi temperaturami med 30 in 35 stopinjami Celzija bo v osrednji Sloveniji vztrajala vse do začetka julija," več kot teden dni hude vročine napovedujejo na Arsu. Vmes bo temperatura sicer lahko malenkost nižja, a večjih ohladitev na Arsu ne pričakujejo.
Najizrazitejša vročina bo na Goriškem, v Vipavski dolini in slovenski Istri, kjer bodo temperature od nedelje naprej presegale 35 stopinj Celzija.
Tudi jutranje temperature bodo od nedelje naprej na meji "tropskih", je še povedal Gregorčič. "Toplotna obremenitev se bo postopno povečevala tudi na račun toplejših noči. Junija so noči najkrajše, sonce je najmočnejše."

Jutri bo pretežno jasno. Najnižje jutranje temperature bodo od 13 do 20, najvišje dnevne od 30 do 34 stopinj Celzija.
V soboto bo sončno in vroče. Verjetnost vročinskih neviht bo majhna.
Tudi v nedeljo bo povečini sončno, verjetnost popoldanskih neviht se bo nekoliko povečala.
Klimatologinja Katja Kozjek Mihelec je pojasnila, da o vročinskem valu govorimo ob neprekinjenem dalj časa trajajočem obdobju vročine, ki je lahko nevarna za žive organizme, v Sloveniji pa so vročinski val tudi specifično definirali. "Slovenijo smo razdelili na tri podnebna območja in za nižino osrednje in vzhodne Slovenije je ta mejna vrednost 24 stopinj, za Primorsko 25, za višje ležeče območja pa 22 stopinj Celzija," je pojasnila.
V zadnjih desetletjih se število in dolžina vročinskih valov povečuje. Najbolj so izstopala leta 2003, 2013, 2022 in 2024. Ocena podnebnih sprememb do konca 21. stoletja, ki so jo pripravili na Arsu, kaže, da bo temperatura še naprej naraščala. "Do konca stoletja lahko pričakujemo še dodaten dvig temperature za dve do tri stopinje Celzija in s tem bo tudi več tropskih noči in vročih dni," je navedla Kozjek Mihelec.
Med vročinskimi valovi je po besedah specialistke javnega zdravja z Nacionalnega inštituta za javno zdravje (NIJZ) Simone Perčič ključno zaščititi predvsem ranljivo populacijo, kot so starejši, otroci in bolniki. Med ranljivimi skupinami je nanizala tudi osebe s slabšimi bivalnimi pogoji, prebivalce mest, osebe s slabšim socialnoekonomskim položajem in delavce na prostem.
Najpogostejši zapleti zaradi pretirane vročinske izpostavljenosti so nelagodje, slabo počutje, dehidracija, kožni izpuščaji, vročinska izčrpanost in vročinska kap. V primeru vročinske izčrpanosti ali kapi je nujna zdravniška intervencija. Osebo moramo umakniti v senco ali v hladen prostor in jo ves čas hladiti. Ob tem je opozorila, da nezavestnim osebam ne smemo dajati tekočine, saj nimajo refleksa požiranja in lahko pride do zadušitve.
Na NIJZ med vročimi dnevi priporočajo umik v naravo ali ohlajene javne prostore, kot so muzeji in knjižnice. Vsem svetujejo, da fizično aktivnost prestavijo na zgodnje jutranje ure ali na pozne popoldanske ure, nosijo primerna oblačila iz naravnih in lahkih tkanin in uživajo dovolj tekočine. "Ta ukrep je zelo enostaven in najpomembnejši, saj preprečuje dehidracijo in sprejeme na urgenco, kjer so že tako zelo zasedeni," je orisala.
Dodala je, da se moramo v času med 10. in 17. uro, ko je sonce najmočnejše, zadrževati v senci.
