Een jongetje van 2 jaar is gisteravond overleden na een val uit het raam op de tweede verdieping van een woning in Rotterdam. Hoe dit kon gebeuren is onbekend, de politie gaat uit van een noodlottig ongeval.
Het gebeurde rond tien uur bij een woning aan de Frans Bekkerstraat in de wijk Charlois. De peuter kwam volgens getuigen terecht in de binnentuin van de onderburen.
Er kwam een traumahelikopter ter plaatse met een medisch team aan boord. Volgens de politie hebben hulpdiensten de jongen gereanimeerd. Daarna werd hij met een ambulance met spoed onder begeleiding van de politie naar het ziekenhuis gebracht. Daar kwam hij te overlijden, schrijft de politie op X (opent in nieuw venster) .
Het meest aannemelijk is dat de peuter zonder betrokkenheid van anderen uit een open raam is gevallen, zegt een woordvoerder van de politie. Er zijn geen aanwijzingen voor een misdrijf. Omdat het om een zeer ernstig incident gaat, doet de forensische opsporing op dit moment wel onderzoek.
