An autopsy revealed that the whale Timmy was actually a female.

An autopsy confirmed that the humpback whale named Timmy, which recently stranded on the island of Anholt in Denmark, was actually female. The cause of death could not be determined despite the examination. No injuries were found on the body, nor any fishing nets or other objects in the mouth or stomach. While parasites were present, they are believed not to have caused the death. The findings confirm earlier suspicions that the whale was female. Parts of Timmy's skeleton will be added to the collection at the Natural History Museum in Copenhagen.

Veterinarji vzroka smrti živali kljub preiskavi niso ugotovili.
