Tomislav Sokol prošao je lišo: eurozastupnik HDZ-a, koji je kritikama na račun čelnih ljudi zagrebačkog HDZ-a naljutio predsjednika stranke, dobio je ukor i isključenje iz Nacionalnog odbora, stranačkog tijela koje se njegovim isključenjem svelo na “tek” 145 članova.
S obzirom da se spekuliralo o izbacivanju iz HDZ-a te čak sugeriralo da bi se HDZ-ov zastupnik trebao odreći mandata u Europskom parlamentu, dojam je da je Sokol ustvari tek malo dobio po prstima. No, takav ishod ipak nije sasvim neočekivan.
Odlukom Visokog časnog suda HDZ-a zaključen je slučaj u kojem je šef stranke Andrej Plenković javno i oštro prozivao eurozastupnika zbog intervjua koji je Sokol početkom svibnja dao Jutarnjem listu. U njemu se manje-više otvoreno požalio na navodne pritiske koje je doživjela njegova supruga Ana Župić Sokol kada se htjela kandidirati za čelnicu zagrebačke organizacije Zajednice žena HDZ-a. Plenković mu je to jako zamjerio.
Protiv HDZ-ova eurozastupnika pokrenut je disciplinski postupak koji je, prema statutu stranke, mogao završiti i puno strožom sankcijom. Iz Plenkovićevih javnih istupa mogao se, pak, steći dojam da bi predsjednik stranke bio najzadovoljniji kad bi se Sokol odrekao zastupničkog mandata. “Ako mu slučajno nije dobro u Europskom parlamentu , može odmah napustiti tu dužnost, pa će ga, sukladno zakonu, zamijeniti kolega Marko Pavić “, poručio mu je Plenković.
Napravili što su mogli
No, sama stranka nije mu mogla ništa – barem ne što se tiče parlamentarnog mandata koji pripada njemu, Sokolu, a ne HDZ-u, bez obzira što ga je dobio zahvaljujući HDZ -ovoj listi (što mu je, spomenimo usput, Plenković također nabio na nos). “Stranka je poduzela one mjere koje može poduzeti prema članu stranke”, ustvrdio je ovog utorka HDZ-ov Branko Bačić na pitanje kolege s Nove TV hoće li Sokol ostati zastupnik u EU parlamentu.
Taj mandat – s izuzetno dobrom plaćom i drugim povlasticama – možda je i najviše žuljao predsjednika stranke, ali mu ga ne može oduzeti niti je bilo realno očekivati da bi ga se Sokol samovoljno odrekao. Visoki časni sud mogao je, dakako, odlučiti i o težoj sankciji; među stegovnim mjerama stranački statut navodi i uvjetno i bezuvjetno isključenje iz stranke. No, takav rasplet mogao je ustvari biti nepovoljan i za Plenkovića i za HDZ.
Gubitak mandata
Izbacivanje Sokola značilo bi za stranku gubitak jednog mandata u EU parlamentu, s time da nije nemoguće da bi on, unatoč tome, ostao u zastupničkom klubu Europske pučke stranke ( EPP ). Kad smo prije nekoliko tjedana o tome neslužbeno razgovarali s dobrim poznavateljem europske politike i EPP-a, potvrdio nam je da je bilo takvih slučajeva. Za Plenkovića bi to, percepcijski, bilo dosta nezgodno.
I Sokolu je, dakako, bolje da je ostao u HDZ-u jer je kao dio HDZ-ove delegacije unutar EPP-a dobio dužnosti koje nose određeni utjecaj i vidljivost. Jednu takvu poziciju, pregovarača EPP-a za novi europski propis o industrijskoj proizvodnji, iskoristio je odmah u utorak: umjesto bilo kakvog službenog komentara na vijest da je dobio ukor, Sokol je negdje iz Bruxellesa ili Strasbourga priopćio da je “započeo rad na najvažnijem europskom industrijskom zakonu”.
‘HDZ-ov Sokol…’
Priopćenje je pritom naslovljeno rečenicom koja počinje s “HDZ-ov Tomislav Sokol…”, gotovo kao suptilan komentar ishoda priče sa stranačkim procesom protiv njega. Uz priopćenje je Sokol poslao i fotografiju sa susreta s izvršnim potpredsjednikom Europske komisije zaduženim za industriju Stéphaneom Séjournéom .
No, iz maila i popratnog materijala nigdje se ne može iščitati je li taj susret doista bio tek jučer ili naprosto ovih dana – Sokol je, podsjetimo, već neko vrijeme izvjestitelj EPP-a na ovu temu o čemu je, uostalom, govorio i u onom spornom intervjuu Jutarnjem listu. Stoga je teško oteti se dojmu da je i ovo priopćenje bilo neka vrsta poruke.
Tko je dobitnik?
Kad se pod cijelu ovu stranačku graju podvuče crta, Sokol je nedvojbeno dobitnik. Javno je istupio protiv nekih praksi u unutarstranačkom kadroviranju, razbjesnio predsjednika stranke i dobio opomenicu zbog lošeg ponašanja. Jasno je da se ovakvim ishodom stavio na mapu nekog budućeg dijeljenja karata u HDZ-u, kao netko tko baš i nije šutio dok je šutnja bila itekako unosna.
Vrh HDZ-a, pritom, ne žuljaju samo izbori u zajednici žena jedne lokalne organizacije. Kako je i sam Plenković izjavio prije mjesec dana u Voćinu, od Sokola se očekuje i da svoje stavove u Europskom parlamentu “uskladi s politikom HDZ-a”, što nije uvijek bio slučaj. Primjerice, ovaj eurozastupnik se često javno zalaže za formiranje trećeg entiteta Hrvata u BiH, što je mnogo bliže stavovima, recimo, Domovinskog pokreta, nego Plenkovićevog HDZ-a.
