The Prague Proms play music from French comedies and Bond films

The Prague Proms music festival has begun in Prague, organized by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra (ČNSO). V Praze začíná hudební festival Prague Proms, který pořádá Český národní symfonický orchestr (ČNSO). V programu zazní mix hudebních žánrů: od filmových melodií přes komorní hudbu po jazz.

Zahájení obstará divadlo – romantická komedie z divadelního zákulisí Herečka, v níž nechybí ale ani hudba. Ta zaplnila festivalový program především. Například ta od Vladimira Cosmy, jehož jméno je spojeno s francouzskými komediemi Velký blondýn s černou botou, Křidýlko nebo stehýnko či Zvíře. Cosmovy skladby zahraje ČNSO pod taktovkou autora.

„Je to ryzí muzikant,“ říká ředitel ČNSO Jan Hasenhöhrl. Dodává, že bylo náročné šestaosmdesátiletého Cosmu přesvědčit, aby se na Prague Proms ještě vrátil. „Lehce už se uzavřel, zůstává v Paříži a nerad lítá,“ prozradil.

Další slavné filmové melodie oddiriguje při Hollywood Night hudební skladatel Chris Egan. Ten vystoupí ještě s programem Count Basie's Album. Tečkou za letošními Prague Proms se v září stane koncert James Bond Night.

Vedle filmové hudby nabízí festival také komorní skladby v podání Pražských komorních sólistů nebo Cestu kolem světa za 80 minut, kterou připravil chlapecký sbor Boni Pueri. Dále vystoupí The Loop Jazz Orchestra a Vít Pospíšil spolu se zpěváky Candace Potts, LaVonte Heardem a Williamem Ramseym. Připomenou písně, které překročily rasové bariéry.
