In Halle krijgt een verplaatsbare speeltuin nog een kans. Het speeltuig op wielen zou vorige zomer normaal van de ene locatie naar de andere verhuizen, maar moest na amper een maand al worden weggehaald na een veiligheidscontrole. De fouten zijn weggewerkt en de stad hoopt de speeltuin snel opnieuw te openen.

De speeltuin is een houten constructie met onder andere een glijbaan, een telraam en een tunnel. Dankzij het ontwerp op een onderstuk van een container kan het geheel makkelijk verplaatst worden, waardoor kinderen in heel Halle van het speeltuig zouden kunnen genieten.

De gebreken zijn intussen weggewerkt en de stad wil de speeltuin zo snel mogelijk opnieuw openen. "In Halle wonen veel jonge gezinnen met kinderen. De mobiele speeltuin was die ene maand al een groot succes. Kinderen konden spelen terwijl ouders in de buurt op een terrasje iets dronken", zegt schepen van Jeugd Louis Van Dionant (CD&V).

"Het is de bedoeling om de speeltuin opnieuw op verschillende plekken in Halle te laten passeren."

Wanneer de speeltuin opnieuw opent, is nog niet duidelijk. Eerst moet die nog een nieuwe veiligheidscontrole doorstaan.
