Man died in Bamble - got three over him

A man died after being struck by a falling tree during logging operations in Bamble on Friday afternoon. Emergency services performed CPR at the scene but were unable to save him. The man was declared dead at 12:15 PM by a doctor. Police have opened an investigation into the incident as a work-related accident. The man's family has been notified.

Det ble startet hjerte- og lungeredning på stedet, men livet sto ikke til å redde. Mannen ble erklært død av lege klokken 12.15, skriver operasjonsleder Tom Richard Skuggedal i Sørøst politidistrikt i politiloggen.

– Avdøde jobbet med skoghogst. Han var sammen med to andre på stedet. Patruljen har opprettet sak på arbeidsulykke, skriver Skuggedal.

Mannens pårørende er varslet.
