Loan to ease gulf war impact available to Antique Pag-IBIG members

Members of the Pag-IBIG Fund in Antique, Philippines, can now access an emergency cash loan called the Special Assistance for Financial Emergencies (SAFE) loan. SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique – Members of the Pag-IBIG Fund in Antique can now avail of an emergency cash loan, designed especially to cushion the impact of the conflict in the Middle East.

Antique branch manager Donald Alton Cahilo said on Wednesday the Special Assistance for Financial Emergencies (SAFE) loan offers up to a maximum of P10,000 to qualified members.

“In Antique, there are around 23,000 Pag-IBIG Fund members, most of whom may be interested in applying,” Cahilo said.

Pag-IBIG rolled out the loan assistance on June 11 and will be available until Sept. 8.

In applying, they only need their Pag-IBIG Fund Loyalty Card Plus and a valid identification card. They can apply online or visit the nearest Pag-IBIG Fund branch.

Upon approval, the amount will be credited to their Loyalty Card Plus within the day or up to three working days.

The loan incurs an interest of 5.95 percent per annum with a repayment grace period of three months. /apl
