Book of former Israeli hostage will be launched in Brazil with the presence of the author

The book 'Refém' by Eli Sharabi, an Israeli former hostage, will be launched in Brazil with the author's presence. The book details his experience of being held captive for 491 days in the Gaza Strip during the October 7 attacks. Sharabi learned after his release that his wife and two teenage daughters had been killed during the attack. The book has entered bestseller lists in the United States and Europe.

Sharabi foi sequestrado de sua casa no Kibutz Beeri durante os ataques de 7 de outubro de 2023 e permaneceu 491 dias em cativeiro na Faixa de Gaza . Após ser libertado, soube que sua esposa e suas duas filhas adolescentes haviam sido assassinadas no dia do ataque.

O livro é o primeiro relato publicado por um ex-refém israelense e entrou para a lista dos mais vendidos nos Estados Unidos e na Europa.
