The Silent Storm of Baricco conquers Rome: thousands read Dostoevsky at the same time

Thousands of people across Rome participated in 'La Tempesta Silenziosa,' an event where they read Fëdor Dostoevskij's 'Le notti bianche' simultaneously in silence at dusk. The initiative was organized by Alessandro Baricco and supported by the Culture Department of Rome Capital, as part of activities coordinated for the Day of Remembrance.

Con l’incipit de Le notti bianche di Fëdor Dostoevskij, alle 20:47 a Roma ha preso vita La Tempesta Silenziosa . Al calare del sole, oltre 300 luoghi della Capitale sono stati pacificamente invasi da migliaia di persone unite da un unico, potente gesto: leggere lo stesso libro, insieme e in perfetto silenzio.

La tempesta sulla Casilina

Nato da un’idea di Alessandro Baricco , il progetto #TempestaSilenziosa è stato promosso e sostenuto dall’Assessorato alla Cultura di Roma Capitale, rientrando nelle iniziative coordinate per la Giornata della Memoria.
