Este domingo 21 de junio, cuando los colombianos elegirán al próximo presidente de la República para el periodo 2026-2030, el MIO prestará su servicio orientado a facilitar la movilidad de los ciudadanos hacia los diferentes puestos de votación habilitados en Cali.

“Como lo hemos hecho en las anteriores jornadas electorales, este domingo el MIO estará al servicio de los caleños para que puedan movilizarse y ejercer su derecho al voto de manera cómoda y segura”, indicó el director de Operaciones de Metrocali, Daniel Parra.
Rutas a puestos de votación en la zona urbana y en seis de la rural
El funcionario explicó que a través del MIO, los usuarios podrán acercarse a 206 puestos de votación dispuestos en Cali, incluidos seis ubicados en zona rural del distrito, hasta donde llegan los buses del Masivo, como son La Buitrera, La Sirena, La Viga, La Vorágine y El Hormiguero en cuyo corregimiento hay dos puestos de votación.
En la jornada electoral del 21 de junio, "el MIO contará con el acompañamiento permanente de personal operativo, inspectores de vía, controladores, equipos técnicos y colaboradores del Centro de Control, quienes harán seguimiento al comportamiento del servicio y estarán dispuestos a resolver cualquier requerimiento de movilidad en el masivo", dijo Parra.
Explicó que el sistema dispondrá de orientadores del MIO en estaciones y terminales estratégicas, reforzando aquellas con mayor flujo de pasajeros hacia sitios de votación. "A través de ellos, los ciudadanos podrán consultar información sobre las rutas y conexiones disponibles para llegar a sus destinos", aseguró el directivo.

Los electores también podrán consultar cómo llegar a sus puestos de votación a través de la MIO App y de otras plataformas de movilidad, como Google Maps y Moovit. La manera de hacerlo es muy fácil: solo deben ingresar la dirección del lugar donde votan y en respuesta las aplicaciones muestran la ruta o rutas disponibles para el recorrido y los tiempos estimados del trayecto.
Reiteró que además de utilizar la tarjeta MIO, los usuarios pueden pagar el pasaje con tarjetas bancarias Visa o Mastercard en modalidad débito o crédito.
Este domingo 21 de junio la operación del MIO, así como la del MIOCable, se prestará en su horario habitual es decir que iniciará a las 6:00 a. m. y se extenderá hasta las 10:00 p. m. De manera que a través del sistema masivo se podrán transportar votantes, jurados, testigos electorales, personal logístico y demás actores vinculados al proceso electoral.
Personal del área de Operaciones de Metrocali hace parte del puesto de mando unificado (PMU), que se instaló este jueves 18 de junio, y tiene la misión de atender las solicitudes relacionadas con la movilidad del MIO y de coordinar respuestas de servicio oportunas frente a las necesidades operativas que se requieran.
