Kurt appreciates Adam Sheikh's contribution to the fight against the U.N.

The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with Adem Shehi, a retired high-ranking officer of the Albanian Army and former commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). Kryeministri në detyrë i Republikës së Kosovës, Albin Kurti, ka pritur në takim oficerin e lartë në pension të Ushtrisë së Republikës së Shqipërisë dhe ish-komandantin e Ushtrisë Çlirimtare të Kosovës, Adem Shehi, i cili më herët gjatë ditës u nderua me dekoratën “Urdhri i Lirisë” nga ushtruesja e detyrës së presidentes, Albulena Haxhiu.

Në këtë takim, në Ditën e Çlirimit të Kosovës, kryeministri në detyrë Kurti e uroi Shehin për dekoratën dhe e falënderoi për kontributin e tij në luftën çlirimtare, nga stërvitjet e vullnetarëve deri tek angazhimi në vijën e frontit.

Gjatë luftës në Kosovë, në fshatin Farkë të Tiranës, Adem Shehi kishte stërvitur grupe vullnetarësh, të cilët më pas iu bashkuan radhëve të UÇK-së. Në vitin 1999, ai kishte lënë familjen dhe ishte vendosur në frontin e luftës si pjesë e Brigadës 153 “Hyzri Talla” të Ushtrisë Çlirimtare të Kosovës në Zonën Operative të Llapit, ndërsa kishte vazhduar të stërviste ushtarët në qendrën në fshatin Zllash të Prishtinës.
