Jedna od najneobičnijih scena dosadašnjeg Svjetskog prvenstva dogodila se tokom susreta Kolumbije i Uzbekistana u Mexico Cityju, kada je bivši engleski reprezentativac i današnji televizijski komentator Warren Barton završio krvave glave usred prijenosa uživo.

Incident se dogodio u završnici utakmice koju je Kolumbija dobila rezultatom 3:1, a prema informacijama koje su prenijeli strani mediji, Barton je pogođen predmetom koji je doletio s tribina.

Pretpostavlja se da je prema komentatorskoj poziciji doletjela boca bačena tokom slavlja kolumbijskih navijača nakon pobjede njihove reprezentacije.

Srećom, povreda nije bila ozbiljnije prirode, pa je bivši engleski reprezentativac prošao bez težih posljedica nakon jednog od najbizarnijih incidenata viđenih na Svjetskom prvenstvu 2026.
