We are deeply saddened by the death of ÖFB legend Hans Buzek.

Hans Buzek, a legendary football player for Austria, has passed away at the age of 88. He made his debut with the Austrian national team at just 17 years and 161 days on October 30, 1955, and played 42 international matches, scoring 9 goals. Buzek was part of the Austrian squad for the 1958 World Cup in Sweden. Throughout his club career, he played for several major Viennese teams including Vienna, Austria, Wiener Sport-Club, FC Dornbirn, Rapid, and Austria Klagenfurt. He won two Austrian league titles, two cup titles, and twice became the top scorer in Austria.

Seine letzte Station als Spieler war Austria Klagenfurt (1972/73).

Buzek wurde zwei Mal österreichischer Meister , 1955 mit der Vienna und 1963 mit der Austria. Mit den Veilchen holte er zwei mal den Cupsieg (1963, 1967). Außerdem war der Goalgetter zwei Mal österreichischer Torschützenkönig (1956 mit 33 Toren und 1966 mit 17 Toren).
