Suomen talous kasvaa tänä vuonna reippaasti enemmän kuin aiemmin uskottiin, arvioi Akava.
Akava korottaa roimasti ennustettaan Suomen talouskasvusta tälle vuodelle.
Tuoreen Akava Works -ennusteen mukaan Suomen talous kohenee tänä vuonna 1,2 prosenttia, kun aiempi ennuste oli 0,5 prosenttia. Suomen talous oli kuluvan vuoden ensimmäisellä neljänneksellä paljon odotettua vahvemmassa vedossa, Akava arvioi.
Ensi vuoden ennustettaan Akava viilaa samalla alaspäin ja odottaa Suomen talouden kasvavan silloin 1,3 prosenttia, kun aiemmin se odotti 1,5 prosentin kasvua vuodelle 2027.
– Tällainen melko vaatimaton kasvu on ripeintä vuoden 2021 jälkeen, kertoo Akavan pääekonomisti Pasi Sorjonen tiedotteessa.
Akavan mukaan Suomen talouden piristymistä tukevat sekä ulkomaankauppa että kotimainen kysyntä.

– Maailmankauppa ponkaisi vahvaan nousuun helmi–maaliskuussa. Euroopan teollisuuden ostopäällikköindeksit kohosivat maalis–toukokuussa korkeimmilleen useaan vuoteen uhmaten levotonta Lähi-idän tilannetta. Tämä on erinomainen uutinen, koska EU-alueen teollisuus on Suomen viennille tärkeä asiakaskunta ja sen kasvuodotusten voimistuminen kertoo vahvistuvasta vientikysynnästä, Sorjonen sanoo.
Akava ennustaa rakentamisen kasvavan lukuun ottamatta asuinrakentamista, jossa lama jatkuu toistaiseksi. Asuinrakennusinvestointien määrä on Akavan mukaan ollut parina viime vuonna noin 30 prosenttia tavanomaista pienempi ja alkuvuosi sitäkin vaisumpi.
Kuluttajat piristymässä vähitellen
Yksityiseen kulutukseen Akava povaa kasvua vähitellen.
– Karu totuus on, että yksityisen kulutuksen määrä on supistunut yhtäjaksoisesti jo kolmen kalenterivuoden ajan. Kuluttajien luottamus on pysynyt heikkona jo yli neljä vuotta. Kotitaloudet säästävät tavanomaista enemmän ja harkitsevat kuluttamista tarkasti. Jyrkästi kasvanut työttömyys jättää monille perheille niukasti valinnanvaraa, Sorjonen sanoo.
Akava ennustaa, että yksityinen kulutus kasvaa keskimäärin vain yhden prosentin tahdissa tänä ja ensi vuonna.
– Ensimmäisen neljänneksen vahvaa nousupyrähdystä seuraa luultavasti pieni takapakki, mutta sen jälkeen kulutus kasvaa verraten tasaisesti.
Työllisyyteen parannusta vasta syksyllä
Työllisyyden suhteen Akavan näkymät ovat vielä vaisut: Suomen työmarkkinat ovat sen mukaan heikentyneet huomattavasti odotettua enemmän. Työllisten määrä on vähentynyt noin kolmen vuoden ajan, ja työttömien määrä on kasvanut jyrkästi.
Huhtikuussa työttömyysaste kohosi jo 10,6 prosenttiin.
– Työllisyyden heikkeneminen on edellisten 12 kuukauden aikana hidastunut selvästi, ja työttömyyden nousussa näkyy orastavia taittumisen merkkejä. Ennusteemme mukaan tilanne pysyy tällaisena pitkälle syksyyn 2026. Vasta sen jälkeen työllisyys alkaa vähitellen kohentua ja työttömyys vähentyä, Sorjonen sanoo.
Akava arvioi, että työttömyysaste on tänä vuonna keskimäärin 10,4 prosenttia ja ensi vuonna 9,8 prosenttia.
