Los jóvenes que viven en alquiler en España necesitan comprometer casi siete años de salario para aspirar a adquirir una vivienda en propiedad. Esa es la media estándar pero si se trata de jóvenes nacidos fuera de España ese esfuerzo se eleva a 7,5 ... años de salario y ya si esos jóvenes aspiran a adquirir una vivienda en alguna de las grandes zonas urbanas de España, tipo Barcelona, Madrid o Málaga, lo que necesitan es comprometer los salarios de una cuarta parte de su vida laboral, 10 años en cifras redondas, para poder acceder a una vivienda en propiedad. La situación ha llegado a un punto en el que, según se reconoce en el último informe anual del Banco de España, las dificultades para acceder a una vivienda ya no se limitan a las rentas más bajas sino que también ya a las rentas medias.
