Castillo's most symbolic painting prepares for his return to Galicia

The painting 'A derradeira leición do mestre' by Alfonso Daniel Rodríguez Castelao, considered highly symbolic for Galician culture, is returning to Galicia after seven years. It will be displayed this summer at the Museum of Pontevedra. The artwork was previously exhibited at the Museo Centro Gaiás in Santiago de Compostela between 2018 and 2019.

Castelao vuelve a casa, o al menos una de las obras que mayor simbolismo tiene para el imaginario colectivo del pueblo gallego. 'A derradeira leición do mestre', pintada por Alfonso Daniel Rodríguez Castelao en 1945, puso rumbo a Galicia desde Buenos Aires este lunes para ... ser expuesta este verano en el Museo de Pontevedra. De esta manera, el cuadro volverá a la Comunidad siete años después de haber estado en el Museo Centro Gaiás de la Ciudad da Cultura de Santiago de Compostela entre 2018 y 2019.
