Srbiju su u nedelju posle podne i uveče pogodile veoma snažne grmljavinske oluje i nepogode.
Oluje su se svom snagom obrušile na Vojvodinu, Mačvu, Beograd, sever Šumadije, Pomoravlje, Podunavlje, Braničevski okrug i istok Srbije.
Oluje su bile praćene gromovima, jakim pljuskovima, olujnim vetrom i gradom.
Oluje su stizale u severozapadnoj visinskoj struji iz Mađarske i Hrvatske, pa se na najjačem udaru našla Vojvodina, naročito Bačka.
Pretpostavlja se da se Bačka našla na udaru i superćeliujskih oluja.
Najjače nepogode pogodile su sever Bačke i šire područje Subotice, naročito Tavankut, Mišićevo i okolna naselja i sela.
Grad je ovde bio najintenziji, uz olujni vetar.
Grad je bio prečnika nekoliko centimetara i u potpunosti je razorio poljoprivredne i ratarske kulture u Tavankutu i okolnim naseljima.
Na pojedinim lokacijama šteta je potpuna, a ljudi su ostali u neverici, jer su posledice katastrofalne i zasadi su potpuno uništeni.
Najviše su stradali kukuruz, pšenica i drugi zasadi, ali i voćne kulture.
Nažalost, olujni sistemi naneli su štetu i u drugim delovima, ali u manjoj meri.
S obzirom na to da je nevreme bilo praćeno veoma snažnim pljuskovima, u centralnim delovima Banata poleglo je žito.
Olujni vetar lokalno je lomio drveće i oštetio električnu mrežu.
U Novom Sadu olujni vetar pričinio je manju materijalnu štetu .
U toku večeri snažno nevreme pogodilo je i Beograd, uz jake gromove, olujni vetar i vrlo obilne pljuskove.
Olujni sistemi su na putu ka istoku Srbije oslabili, a ostatak Srbije nije bio na udaru nevremena.
Iako su danas i sutra ponegde mogući loklani pljuskovi sa grmljavinom, ne prete oluje kao u nedelju.
Inače, oluje u ovom delu godine su uobičajena pojava i najviše se u proseku događaju upravo krajem proleća i početkom do sredine leta.
