Η Ουκρανία εξαπέλυσε τα ξημερώματα της Πέμπτης τη μεγαλύτερη μέχρι σήμερα επίθεση με μη επανδρωμένα αεροσκάφη εναντίον της Μόσχας, πλήττοντας μεταξύ άλλων το μεγαλύτερο διυλιστήριο πετρελαίου της ρωσικής πρωτεύουσας και προκαλώντας μεγάλες πυρκαγιές. Σύμφωνα με τις ρωσικές αρχές, σχεδόν 200 ουκρανικά drones συμμετείχαν στην επιχείρηση, η οποία ανέδειξε την αυξανόμενη ικανότητα του Κιέβου να πλήττει στόχους βαθιά στο ρωσικό έδαφος.
Ο δήμαρχος της Μόσχας, Σεργκέι Σομπιάνιν, δήλωσε ότι τα συστήματα αεράμυνας κατέρριψαν τουλάχιστον 194 ουκρανικά drones το πρωί της Πέμπτης, κατά την τρίτη συνεχόμενη ημέρα επιθέσεων εναντίον της ρωσικής πρωτεύουσας.
Εικόνες που κυκλοφόρησαν στα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης έδειξαν τεράστιες φλόγες και πυκνούς καπνούς να υψώνονται πάνω από τη νότια Μόσχα, σε ένα από τα πιο εντυπωσιακά πλήγματα που έχει δεχθεί η ρωσική πρωτεύουσα από την έναρξη της εισβολής στην Ουκρανία.

Η επίθεση θεωρείται ένδειξη της συνεχώς αυξανόμενης δυνατότητας της Ουκρανίας να πραγματοποιεί επιχειρήσεις μεγάλου βεληνεκούς με drones εγχώριας κατασκευής, πλήττοντας κρίσιμες στρατιωτικές και ενεργειακές εγκαταστάσεις μακριά από τη γραμμή του μετώπου.
Σύμφωνα με τις τοπικές αρχές, τουλάχιστον 16 άνθρωποι τραυματίστηκαν, ανάμεσά τους δύο παιδιά.
Στόχος το μεγαλύτερο διυλιστήριο της Μόσχας
Αρκετά από τα drones έπληξαν το διυλιστήριο Πετρελαίου της Μόσχας στην περιοχή Καπότνια, στα νοτιοανατολικά προάστια της πόλης. Πρόκειται για το μεγαλύτερο διυλιστήριο της μητροπολιτικής περιοχής.
Το ίδιο συγκρότημα είχε βρεθεί στο στόχαστρο ουκρανικών επιθέσεων και την Τρίτη, ενώ είχε δεχθεί πλήγμα και περίπου έναν μήνα νωρίτερα.
Βίντεο που δημοσιεύθηκαν στο διαδίκτυο καταγράφουν τη στιγμή κατά την οποία το καπάκι μεγάλης δεξαμενής αποθήκευσης πετρελαίου εκτινάσσεται εκατοντάδες μέτρα στον αέρα έπειτα από ισχυρή έκρηξη, ενώ σε άλλα σημεία του συγκροτήματος εκδηλώνονται πυρκαγιές.

Οι ουκρανικές επιθέσεις προκάλεσαν επίσης ζημιές σε πολυκατοικίες στη νότια Μόσχα και στα προάστια της πόλης. Σύμφωνα με τις ρωσικές αρχές, επλήγησαν ακόμη δύο από τα μεγαλύτερα εμπορικά κέντρα της ευρύτερης περιοχής της πρωτεύουσας.
Η επίθεση είχε σημαντικές επιπτώσεις και στις αερομεταφορές. Τα τέσσερα αεροδρόμια της Μόσχας ανέστειλαν προσωρινά τη λειτουργία τους, ενώ η Aeroflot ακύρωσε 170 πτήσεις.
Πίεση στη ρωσική ενεργειακή βιομηχανία
Οι ουκρανικές επιθέσεις κατά ενεργειακών υποδομών έχουν ήδη επηρεάσει σημαντικά τη ρωσική παραγωγική ικανότητα στον τομέα των καυσίμων.
Νωρίτερα αυτή την εβδομάδα, μεγάλες αλυσίδες πρατηρίων καυσίμων στη Ρωσία επέβαλαν περιορισμούς στις ποσότητες βενζίνης που μπορούν να αγοράζουν οι καταναλωτές. Ιδιαίτερα σημαντικές θεωρούνται οι επιθέσεις που στοχεύουν τις γραμμές ανεφοδιασμού προς την Κριμαία και τις κατεχόμενες περιοχές της νοτιοανατολικής Ουκρανίας.
Οι ουκρανικές επιχειρήσεις έχουν ήδη προκαλέσει ελλείψεις καυσίμων στην Κριμαία, με τις τοπικές αρχές να εφαρμόζουν αυστηρή δελτίωση νωρίτερα αυτόν τον μήνα.
