En la Cámara de Diputados se colocó una pantalla con el fin de observar el México-Corea del Sur y, entre los asistentes, estaba Monreal. "Ahora sí está desolada, seguramente todos están en su casa o en el Fan Fest. Hay que darles ánimo y buenas vibras a la Selección", comentó el también presidente de la Junta de Coordinación Política (Jucopo).

El legislador priísta Rubén Moreira posteó la foto de una pantalla de televisión con dicho partido de futbol, cuyo marcado acabó 1-0 a favor de México.
La diputada del PAN , Noemí Luna, acudió a Avenida Paseo de la Reforma, a la altura del Ángel de la Independencia, a una de las pantallas colocadas para ver el juego.
