Since the David attempt, control has been with Canada. Most of the attacks have been through the right with Buchanan and Johnstone pushing and looking to create chances. Buchanan gets fouled and the resultant freekick is cleared by Qatar. However, they just cannot get out of their own box.

Team news: Davies on bench, Larin starts
The team sheets are in, and Alphonso Davies will begin the match among the substitutes despite being declared fit after his recent hamstring issue.
Canada coach Jesse Marsch has opted to bring Cyle Larin into the starting XI after his equalising goal against Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Ali Ahmed also comes into the side. Tani Oluwaseyi and Liam Millar drop to the bench.
Qatar, meanwhile, are unchanged from the side that drew 1-1 with Switzerland, with captain Boualem Khoukhi leading the team once again. Record goalscorer Almoez Ali remains among the substitutes.
