After one season: Ole Werner is no longer Leipzig coach

RB Leipzig has decided to replace coach Ole Werner after just one season, despite finishing third in the Bundesliga. The club's sports director, Marcel Schäfer, stated that they have analyzed the past season and decided to appoint a new head coach. Argentine footballer Martin Demichelis is considered a favorite for the position.

Ein dritter Platz in der Bundesliga war zu wenig und entsprach offenbar nicht den Ansprüchen von RB Leipzig . Nach nur einer Saison musste Ole Werner den Trainerstuhl wieder räumen.

„Wir haben die abgelaufene Saison in den vergangenen Tagen noch einmal intensiv und abschließend analysiert und den Beschluss gefasst, die Position des Cheftrainers neu zu besetzen“, wurde der Leipziger Sport-Geschäftsführer Marcel Schäfer zitiert.

Favorit auf die Nachfolge ist der Argentinier Martin Demichelis .
