Arso introduces a major change: Weather forecasts will be completely different from today

The article discusses the implementation of a new weather forecasting system called C-LAEF AlpeAdria by Arso, which will provide more accurate forecasts for the entire Alpine-Adriatic region. The system improves resolution from 4.4 kilometers to 1 kilometer, offering detailed data every four hours for the next 60 hours. Gre za sistem C-LAEF AlpeAdria , ki bo vreme v celotni alpsko-jadranski regiji napovedoval neprimerljivo bolj natančno kot doslej.

Največja prednost novega sistema je boljša ločljivost

Meteorologi so do zdaj vreme napovedovali na mreži z ločljivostjo 4,4 kilometra, ta se pa po novem zmanjšuje na  1 kilometer . Sistem bo osvežen kar štirikrat dnevno in bo ponujal podrobne podatke za naslednjih 60 ur . To pomeni, da bomo imeli v Sloveniji bistveno boljšo sliko o tem, kaj natančno se dogaja na zelo majhnih, lokalnih območjih.

To bo prineslo opazne izboljšave pri napovedovanju in opozarjanju pred nevarnimi vremenskimi pojavi. Izboljšave bodo najbolj opazne pri napovedih močnega vetra in sunkov, lokalnih ploh in neviht, megle ter nizke oblačnosti. Prav tako bo sistem natančneje določil mejo sneženja, vrsto padavin ter lokalna nihanja temperature in vlažnosti.

Sistem so razvili v sodelovanju s sosednjimi državami

Ob tem so zapisali, da novi sistem C-LAEF AlpeAdria ni izključno slovenski projekt, saj so ga na Arsu razvili v tesnem sodelovanju s partnerskima meteorološkima službama iz sosednjih držav - avstrijsko GeoSphere Austria in hrvaškim DHMZ.
