Todor Stoichev shared the 43rd place in the final ranking of the European Fencing Championships in France

Todor Stoychev placed 43rd in the final ranking of men's sabre at the European Championships in France. He competed against 68 fencers from 21 countries, including four Bulgarians. Stoychev had three wins and three losses in the group stage. Other Bulgarian competitors included Kaloyan Peshev, Dimitar Raykin, and Nikola Meitov, who achieved lower rankings.

Тодор Стойчев раздели 43-о място в крайното класиране на сабя на Европейското първенство по фехтовка за мъже и жени във Франция. На пътеките в Антони излязоха 68 сабльори от 21 държави, сред които четирима българи - Тодор Стойчев, Калоян Пешев, Димитър Райкин и Никола Меицов.

Най-добре от тях се представи Стойчев, който в крайното класиране раздели 43-о място със Сергей Кисел (неутрален статут). Българинът излезе от групите с три победи и три загуби. В първия кръг от елиминациите той се изправи срещу Андрий Ягодка. След оспорван двубой, в който българинът поведе с 13:10, се стигна до победа за украинеца с 15:13.

Калоян Пешев записа 1-4 в груповата фаза. В елиминациите той отстъпи пред индивидуалния неутрален спортист Дмитрий Насонов с 8:15 и се класира 51-и.

Никола Меицов записа в групите един успех и пет поражения, с което се нареди на 54-а позиция. Димитър Райкин има същия баланс с груповата фаза и остана 59-и.

Следващото участие на националите на Европейското първенство е в петък, когато ще бъдат определени отборните шампиони на шпага мъже и сабя жени.
