The province of Buenos Aires has enacted a law requiring the use of pictograms on all public transportation vehicles within its territory. The measure was officially published in the Official Gazette on July 21, under Law No. 15.613. This legislation mandates the installation of accessible visual signage on each bus unit, aiming to enhance autonomy, communication, and inclusion for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and others who face challenges in verbal language or have disabilities. The initiative ensures safer and more predictable travel experiences for these groups. The new regulation, driven by the provincial legislature and coordinated with the Ministry of Transportation, modifies the legal, technical, and operational framework governing concessionaires.
