APC Delta Mandate has passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, reaffirming their leadership and pledging continued support for the ruling party's agenda. The decision was made during a meeting held at the official residence of Hon. Ferguson Onwo in the Legislative Quarters, Asaba. The motion was moved by the Pioneer Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, and seconded by the member representing Isoko South Constituency II, Hon. Ferguson Onwo. It was unanimously adopted through a voice vote conducted by the National President of the group, Hon. Isaac Anwuzia. The meeting saw the National President, Hon. Isaac Anwuzia, call on members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and consolidate support for all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections. He described the Delta APC Mandate as a formidable political platform dedicated to advancing the fortunes of the APC in the state. Anwuzia emphasized the importance of unity within the party, stating that loyalty to Governor Oborevwori should translate into total commitment to the party’s victory. He reiterated that the group’s message is one party, one mobilisation, and one objective, delivering the APC across Delta State. Delta State APC Chairman, Chief Solomon Areyenka, praised members for their steadfastness in promoting the achievements of the Tinubu-led federal government and the Oborevwori administration. He urged them to maintain this momentum and work towards the victory of all APC candidates in future elections. In similar vein, the APC House of Representatives candidate for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, called on party members across Delta State to close ranks, forgive one another, and unite to ensure total victory for the APC in upcoming elections. Elumelu underscored the importance of internal unity in sustaining the achievements of both President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori. He expressed gratitude to Governor Oborevwori for the confidence placed in those elected to represent their constituencies, calling the governor “a good product” who deserves the support of all Deltans. He warned against anti-party activities, asserting that political appointees, elected officials, and council chairmen must remain loyal to the APC. Elumelu urged the state leadership to convene a meeting with all government appointees and elected officials to reinforce loyalty, discipline, and collective responsibility. He also appealed to aspiring candidates and party supporters to embrace reconciliation, noting that not everyone can become the party’s candidate. Other speakers, including Chief Lawrence Osiegbu, Chief Patrick Ukah, Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, and Chief (Mrs.) Rosaline Amioku, highlighted the achievements of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori. They encouraged members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and ensure greater inclusion of youths in the party’s activities.
