A German brand has launched a highly anticipated mid-sized premium motorcycle in Argentina, marking one of the most significant product introductions of the year. BMW Motorrad unveiled the new F 450 GS, which joins the well-established GS family as an entry-level model. The motorcycle comes with four versions, advanced technology, comprehensive equipment, and a design aimed at both urban commuting and long-distance travel. The new BMW F 450 GS is powered by a straight-twin engine with a displacement of 420 cubic centimeters. This engine produces 48 horsepower at 8750 revolutions per minute and a maximum torque of 43 Newton-meters at 6750 rpm. These specifications aim to provide agile and progressive performance suitable for city driving while still being capable of handling extended journeys. One standout feature of the model is its low weight, registering at just 178 kilograms. Combined with its steel tube chassis and reduced wheelbase, this contributes to improved maneuverability and handling across different terrains. Ergonomic features were developed using the larger GS models as a reference point. The model includes a high handlebar positioned close to the rider, along with a front suspension composed of an inverted KYB fork. Reinforced aluminum alloy wheels measure 19 inches in the front and 17 inches in the rear, offering stability on asphalt while maintaining capability on less grippy surfaces. The transmission consists of six speeds, and starting with the Exclusive version, it incorporates the Shift Assistant Pro system, allowing gear changes without engaging the clutch. In the Trophy variant, one of the main innovations in the range appears: the Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), a centrifugal and automatic transmission system that eliminates the need for manual clutch operation. All versions come with a three-year warranty without mileage limits. Despite this, the rider can engage the clutch manually through a lever when necessary, providing greater control under specific driving conditions. The F 450 GS lineup in Argentina initially comprises four versions. The entry-level model is the F 450 GS Cosmic, priced at $14,600 and featuring extensive standard equipment. Included items are LED headlights and lights, a 6.5-inch TFT screen with connectivity, adjustable levers and controls, heated grips, a USB-C port, and an aluminum handlebar. In terms of safety and driver assistance, it includes ABS Pro with tilt sensor, dynamic traction control (DTC), dynamic brake control (DBC), anti-hang-up clutch, dynamic brake light, and daytime running light. It also offers three riding modes: Rain, Road, and Enduro. The second option is the F 450 GS Exclusive, sold at $14,800. It maintains the Cosmic Black decoration and adds the Shift Assistant Pro, Pro driving modes including Enduro Pro, black glove protectors, engine cover, off-road footrests, and windscreen. It features 19-inch alloy wheels in the front and 17-inch in the back. Above these is the F 450 GS Sport, priced at $15,100. This version stands out with the Racing Red finish and includes a sport-oriented suspension with compression and rebound adjustment on the front axle. Finally, the top-tier version is the Trophy, priced at $15,600. Among its features are...
