In Tomaj, Srečko Rože je v letušnjem Kosovelovem letu restavriral več spomenikov, med njimi tiste za ugledna člena družine Černe, Anton in Filip, ter tudi grob šolskih sester sv. Frančisa. Pobudo za to je dal dutovski župnik Gašper Lipušček. Šolske sestre so delovala v tomajskem kloštruh in imeli pomembno gospodarsko in kulturno poslanstvo na Krasu. Vključno so pomagale pri mašah, verouku, poučevanje kuhanja in šivanja. Po priključitvi Primorske leta 1947 so bile izgnane v Trst, pred kratkim pa so se preselile v Gorico.
