An unknown individual has again defaced the memorial to fallen fighters at Spodnji Brnik, damaging both the monument and the red star on it. The incident was reported by the Kranjska police authority, which noted that the perpetrator had painted the monument black and also altered the red star. This follows previous incidents of vandalism targeting historical memorials in the area. Local mayor Franc Čebulj expressed concern over the repeated acts of vandalism, noting that the perpetrator did not appear to have anything to steal.
